Don’t you remember Charleston? Don’t you remember Colorado Springs? Or Fort Worth? In wake of church shootings, pastors and worshipers arm themselves to shoot back. Some of the Sunday regulars began bringing their guns to church, including a woman who kept one in her handbag. Just days after the shooting in Sutherland Springs, an 81-year-old man was accidentally shot in the hand and his wife was grazed in the stomach at a church in Tellico Plains, Tenn., after he pulled out his weapon during a church discussion on bringing firearms to church.
There shouldn’t be a need for worshipers to arm themselves for potential defense, in a building under the watchful eye of an almighty, omniscient, omnipotent God. Where is the faith?
