Corruption

I will tell you what you don’t want to hear, because anyone can tell you what you want to hear.
On Monday 02/26/2018, Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R) threatened to retaliate against Delta Airlines, which recently announced that it will no longer offer discounted rates to NRA members traveling to the gun lobbying group’s annual convention. Cagle’s comments come as Delta, one of the Georgia’s largest employers, appeared close to convincing lawmakers to restore a $50 million sales tax exemption on jet fuel. Headquartered in Atlanta, Delta would be the prime beneficiary of the tax cut.
In case there is any doubt, this proposal from Cagle is not only unconstitutional, it is also a bonehead action. Delta has 33,000 employees in the Atlanta area. That does not include all of the support staff that are employees of the airport system who will NOT be needed should they hit departure mode.
This is the extent of the control that money has over a government mired in corruption. From the president receiving 31 + million from the NRA to the local representative enjoying a free trip to a resort, this is what has become of this land of the bribes and home of the lobbyists. When it comes to “We the people”, only the mighty stupid may think that this is still their country.
