Misguided priorities 2

Earlier I posted a blog about “Misguided Priorities” to accent the disparity among 3 professions: Congress, teachers and deployed soldiers. I chose to save this part 2 and release it separately because the participants are in an all totally different class by themselves. They are the crooks and thieves who pray on the poor and uneducated all over the world. And if you attempt to compare the salaries of teachers, you would want to throw-up looking at the income of these Megachurch pastors. This is what tax-free treasures in heaven look like, people.
Kenneth Copeland, of the Copeland Ministries, flies around in a $17.5 Jet, lives in a $6 million lakefront mansion with a 1,500 acre campus and a private airstrip. He and his wife make over $655,000 a year in salary alone and have over 20 million in assets. It’s not clear whether this includes speaking fees, book royalties, and “love offerings”. The ministry is worth 12 billions.
Creflo Dollar, of the World Changers Church International, drives a Rolls-Royce and lives in a Million dollar home in Atlanta, and a 2.5 million-dollar apartment in Manhattan. Dollar will not release his salary information. His ministry is worth 100 millions.
John Hagee, of the Cornerstone Church, 2004 released salary was nearly $1 million per year. Hagee does not release his earnings anymore. His ministry is worth $ 5 millions.
Charles Blake, of the West Angeles Church of God in Christ, owns a 10,000 square foot mansion in Beverly Hills, with a salary is $900,000 per year. His congregation hails mostly from impoverished South Central LA.
Benny Hinn, the Miracle Worker, admitted, in 1997, to making between $500k & $1 million dollars per year. His ministry is worth 45 millions.
Joel Osteen, of the Lakewood Church, stopped taking his $200,000 salary several years ago. Makes tens of millions off of his numerous books. Joel & family live in a $10.5 million, 17,000 square foot mansion. The ministry is worth 55 millions.
Bishop Eddie Long, of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, is worth 15 millions and made over $3 million in a three year period from 1997 to 2000. He drives a Bentley, and lives in a 1.4 million dollar home on 20 acres. An investigation into his non profit scams showed he made more than $1 million dollars from them on top of his church income. No doubt some of that went toward his legal fees in 2011.
Ed Young, of the Fellowship Church Dot Com, lives in a 10k square foot 1.5 million dollar home, gets paid a cool $1 million dollars a year, plus a $240,000 parsonage allowance. That doesn’t count the royalties he makes off of his recent Sexperiment. His ministry is worth 11 millions.
Franklin Graham, of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, son of renowned evangelist Billy Graham, is head of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief agency based in Boone, N.C. He reportedly made 1.2 million dollars in 2008. Franklin Graham’s annual compensation of $880,000, revealed in a Charlotte Observer story, has some worrying that too many top Christian nonprofit leaders as well as pastors are seeing themselves as CEOs instead of as God’s servants.
Rick Warren, of the Saddleback Church, has made tens of millions off his book sales. However… Warren has made so much money that in 2005 he repaid all of his 25 years of salary to the church & stopped taking any new salary.
Honorable mention to the following: Paula White with 10 millions; Joyce Meyer with 25 millions; Chris Oyakhilome with 50 millions; T.D. Jakes with 150 millions; Robert Tilton with 100 millions; Paul Crouch with 100 millions; Peter Popoff with 100 millions; David Oyedepo with 150 millions; and Edir Macedo with 11 billions.
And this, my friends, is what tax-free treasures in heaven look like.
