The Trump policy of separating dark skinned children and their families is deeply anchored in America’s legacy of slavery. The Trump administration’s current crackdown on dark skinned families that cross the border illegally has led to hundreds of children, some as young as 18 months, being separated from their parents.
The parents are being sent to federal jails to face criminal prosecution while their children are being placed in shelters operated by the Department of Health and Human Services. We all know how that works. It is not the first time that dark skinned children have no idea where their parents are or when they will see them again.
“Soul murder” is the term used by mental health experts to describe this version of child abuse. It is what it is: state sanctioned psychological violence, when children are separated from their parents. “Two of the most damaging childhood adversities are loss of the attachment bond with the parents and childhood physical and sexual abuse”, University of Texas psychiatry professor Luis Zayas told ABC News. “If you want to damage someone permanently, expose him or her to one or both of these traumas.”
In 2018, racist, bigoted, jack booted skinhead, neo-Nazi, Klan member Kirstjen Nielsen knows what she is doing, and dared to say the dark skinned children are not being treated inhumanely. The same was said when Native and African children were used as sex toys, gator baits or footballs.
In 2018, a Texas sheriff’s deputy has been accused of sexually assaulting an undocumented immigrant’s child, and blackmailing the mother with potential deportation to keep her quiet about the attacks. Jose Nunez, 47, is being held on charges of “super aggravated sexual assault” after the mother sought help at a fire department for her 4-year-old child, who had reportedly been crying out in pain. “The details of the case are quite frankly heartbreaking, disturbing, disgusting and infuriating all at the same time”, Javier Salazar, the Bexar County Sheriff, said during a press conference announcing the charges and circumstances.
Destroying the bond between parent and children has been the slogan of the white European supremacist agenda, since 550AD. It remains the main objective of the American Eugenics movement in 2018.
