There are 7427 blatant absurdities in the bible. Among them:
For believers, the bible is the word of their God. How can they base their eternal destiny on what the bible says, if one chapter tells them something and the next chapter contradicts it? Either their God is confused, stupid or most likely never said one word (because he can’t).
-Genesis 11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
(God sows discord.)
-Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
(God hates anyone who sows discord.)
-Genesis 11: 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
(At Babel, the Lord confused the language of the whole world.)
-1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
(Paul says that God is not the author of confusion.)
-Genesis 11:12 And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
(Arphaxad was the father of Salah.)
-Luke 3:35 Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,36 Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,
(Cainan was the father of Salah. Arphaxad was the grandfather of Salah.)
-Genesis 11:26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
(Terah was 70 years old when his son Abram was born.)
-Genesis 11:32 And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
(Terah was 205 years old when he died, making Abram 135 at the time).
-Genesis 12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
-Acts 7:2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
(Abram was 75 when he left Haran. This was after Terah died. Thus, Terah could have been no more than 145 when he died; or Abram was only 75 years old after he had lived 135 years.)
