Did you know that bottled water is no safer than tap water? That’s right, the EPA and EWG, the two-main water quality regulating groups, have determined that bottled water quality is in most instances inferior to tap water. When it’s slightly better, it’s usually filtered tap water. It contains the same junk as tap water, including fluoride or chlorine, and whatever else you don’t want to know, like fecal matter.
People, who complained about $3 for a gallon of gas, are happy to pay $11 per gallon of company water. Aquafina, like Dasani and Pure Life’s products are actually just glorified tap water.
There are two main reasons that bottled water is bad for your health: Bottled water is dead water, meaning it’s void of healthy minerals. Then it gets worse, as plastic water bottles leak harmful chemicals into the water. Most plastic bottles are made with petroleum that leaches into the water when stored too long or exposed to heat. Another component of plastic is BPA. This nasty chemical is linked to cardiovascular disease and is a known endocrine disruptor.

You can drink better water for a fraction of the cost of bottled water. Get a filter that removes chlorine, fluoride and harmful contaminants, but leaves in healthy minerals. You can also supplement healthy minerals in your diet by a good food choice.
