The news is out: [The day after Attorney General William Barr’s long and contentious appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused him of lying.
“The attorney general of the United States was not telling the truth,” Pelosi said during her weekly press conference on Capitol Hill. “That’s a crime.”
“He lied to Congress. He lied to Congress,” she continued. “If anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime. Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States and not the attorney general. Being the attorney general does not give you a bath to go say whatever you want.”]
Pelosi is a fricking idiot. Her language is very telling of a blooming, category 5 moron.
Once again, lawmakers who are supposed to know the law or, at the very least, have a few interns who can look up the information for them, are fumbling in protecting the Constitution.
Violating an oath of office is a federal crime. The fourth federal law, 18 U.S.C. 1918 provides penalties for violation of oath office described in 5 U.S.C. 7311 which include: (1) removal from office and; (2) confinement or a fine.
