This morning, I went for a quick trip to the store. Once again, a woman peddling a religious brochure engaged me. I was in a hurry, but still took the time to listen to her.
Woman: Would you like to learn about king Jesus?
Me: I don’t get a good morning first? Which cult are you from?
Woman: Sorry. Good morning. I am a Jehovah witness.
I declined the brochure.
Me: Oh! One of these people who don’t read the bible?
Woman: Yes we do.
Me: Doesn’t your religion prohibit you from reading the bible? You must get your religious indoctrination from your leaders?
Woman: Yes they read the bible to us. (1 minute earlier she read the bible)
Me: Do me a favor. Next time, ask your leader to get out of bed and come bring me this brochure. Tell him that I want him to read 1 Timothy 2:11-12 to you.
1 Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
