Use of deadly force in Georgia

Georgia state law allows officers to use deadly force if they “reasonably believe” a felony suspect has a deadly weapon or poses an immediate threat of physical violence, or if they have probable cause to believe that a person has committed a crime that involves serious physical harm or the threat of such harm.
