The news is out: [A Black doctor who said she received racist treatment while hospitalized with COVID-19 has died, her son told the New York Times. Dr. Susan Moore said her white doctor in Indiana “made me feel like I was a drug addict” and did not take her complaints of pain seriously. Her son told the Times that while she eventually received care that “adequately treated” her pain, the case shows, as Moore put it, “how Black people get killed, when you send them home and they don’t know how to fight for themselves.”]
This is the US now; same as it was 100 years ago, as it will be 100 years from today.

I was educated in Catholic schools and spent 6 years at the Petit Seminaire College Saint-Martial, a Jesuit seminary. I am a twice Ordained minister from the Open Ministry Church, and the Universal Life Church The Monastery. I am not religious or an atheist, I enjoy spirituality. Religion, politics and gardening (not necessarily in that order) are my favorite subjects of conversation.
Other areas of interest include: Human diversity, criminal and constitutional law (graduated from the police academy CCJST), Africa, ancient history, slavery, automotive technology and research at the GM training Center (Tech I and III), Chrysler Technical Training (BE and T-121).
