The main reason for atrocities around the world is the double-edged sword of insanity and ignorance. It’s the belief that some people can do anything dictated by the voices in their heads; and somehow, the leader of these voices will fly down from the clouds to save them in a Rapture.
The real danger of religion is not in the crying, the trances, the crazy shaking, the seizures, the falling down, the arm raising and shouting. No! The insane danger of religion rests in the audacity that everyone else should have the same stupid belief, behavior and faith.
To believe there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is a whimsical privilege. To pack your bags and take the kids on a trip to retrieve that gold is where the insanity begins.
