Akwaaba and thank you for visiting mypbbooks.wordpress.com. Since retiring in July 2013, I started writing my thoughts on religion, politics, natural food and their impact on people. I didn’t want to write about a single subject, when I had so much to share. I also didn’t want to “write around in circle” and repeat things to fill pages. Many of the books contain recipes and/or advice about staying healthy; something that I believe everyone can benefit from.
I was educated in Catholic schools and spent 6 years at the Petit Seminaire College Saint-Martial, a Jesuit seminary in Port-au-Prince. I am a twice Ordained minister from the Open Ministry Church, and the Universal Life Church The Monastery. I am not religious or an atheist, I enjoy spirituality. Religion, politics and gardening (not necessarily in that order) are my favorite subjects of conversation.
Other areas of interest include: Human diversity, criminal and constitutional law (graduated from the police academy CCJST), Africa, ancient history, slavery, automotive technology and research at the GM training Center (Tech I and III), Chrysler Technical Training (BE and T-121).
“At the heart of the First Amendment is the recognition of the fundamental importance of the free flow of ideas and opinions on matters of public interest and concern. The freedom to speak one’s mind is not only an aspect of individual liberty, and thus a good in itself, but also is essential to the common quest for truth and the vitality of society as a whole.” (Chief Justice Renquist)
